Zanussi unveils a new built-in range of domestic appliances

Launching its new QUADRO range with a strong design identity, Zanussi intended to refresh its brand and to update its built-in offer.  Leveraging on its Italian heritage, the range has bright and bold design and offers a simple geometric look with easy to use controls.

The range maintains the same vertical alignment and clean lines that Zanussi established with its QUADRO products in 1999.  Over the years, QUADRO has become a reference in kitchen design, achieving international recognition with Good Design Award in 2000 and again in 2004. Zanussi designs are for people who want a flexible and low maintenance home with appliances that are simple to use, easy to maintain, functional and reliable.

The new QUADRO collection consists of single and double ovens, hobs, hoods, microwaves, refrigeration, laundry and dishwashing. The single QUADRO ovens have 74 litre cavity and A-10% energy rating (two models have pyrolytic cleaning), while the flagship hob uses induction. The refrigeration appliances sport up to 15% larger capacity; the dishwashers feature a one-touch auto programme, and the washing machines have 7kg capacity and A++ energy rating.

Ian Banes, country head, Electrolux Major Appliances, explained to IER the company’s thinking behind the range:

“We wanted to give the consumers products which are easy to use but with a design flair. The unique features of the range are one-touch functions and larger sizes, whether it is oven capacity, refrigeration or laundry. It is all about saving time and effort for consumers and giving them more time to spend with family and friends.

“Our message for retailers is: we have a great product range with many useful consumer-focused features. We can offer you a lot of marketing materials and support (such as 400 different formats of PoS) that will help you to sell the range.”
