Witt UK & Ireland to exhibit at Euronics Showcase for first time

In Industry News On

Danish brand Witt has announced that it will show products from the Witt and iRobot ranges at the Euronics Showcase, which takes place at the NEC in Birmingham on April 17 and 18.

Witt UK & Ireland market manager Bo Simonsen said the company’s participation at the Euronics Showcase forms part of its drive to sign-up members of the CIH buying group, as part of its business growth strategy.

At the Euronics Showcase, Witt will show the Witt Connect series, the company’s first range of connected hobs and hoods.

Bo said: “Because our product isn’t everywhere, I can guarantee a CIH member will make 25-35% on Witt-branded products depending on how much of a commitment they make with us.”

Witt will also show the Spitfire refrigerator, which the company said is handmade and offers a personal design element.

Also on the stand, Witt will show the Witt Juicepresso, the ‘most user friendly’ slow juicer on the market. Witt slow juicers rotate at 40-50rpm – a centrifugal juice extractor rotates at 8,000-12,000rpm. The gentle process extracts more and higher quality juice, which offers a much better taste than that offered by traditional centrifugal juice extracting, the company explains.

Bo added: “For retailers, it is imperative that they demonstrate the product features and consumer benefits and you’ll be well on a way to a sale – and don’t forget to let the customers sample the juices.”

Last year Euronics added three exclusive iRobot vacuum cleaners to the Euronics Agency line-up – the Roomba 615, Roomba 776 and Roomba 875.

Bo said: “Independent electrical retailers currently underperform in the robot sector relative to their share of the total vacuum cleaners’ market.

“If you only sell traditional vacuum cleaners – like other retailers – you can only sell on price. Selling a £99.99 vacuum cleaner in-store takes the same amount of selling as a cleaner priced at £399.99; or do you want to sell seven models or one model to get the same margin – you do the maths!

“By demonstrating products from the iRobot range, you have relevance for the customer coming in. Robotic cleaning is one of the two fastest growing categories in floorcare and is a product that cannot be effectively demonstrated online.”

The new Roomba 980 is iRobot’s most advanced robot yet. It cleans an entire level of your home, recharging as needed.

At the Euronics Showcase, Witt will hold a prize draw each day, where a Roomba 980 will be presented to CIH members. In addition, representatives from the company will demonstrate products from both the Witt and iRobot ranges.

Bo added: “I look forward to welcoming CIH members to our stand at the Euronics Showcase. We have a number of in-store display solutions for retailers that would like to partner with us.”
