Vogel’s absorbs the effects of VAT increase on dealer margins

In Industry News On

Vogel’s has begun 2011 by introducing new product and pricing initiatives to prove its support for the independent channel.

The new Original Black Series range of mounts provides basic functionality with the quality of design and engineering expected of Vogel’s. Featuring 15 mounts compatible with screens from 14 to 65in, the Original Black Series has been designed and priced to allow independents to successfully compete with cheap imports from China, without compromising on the quality and reliability of the products they sell.

At the same time Vogel’s has also decided not to pass on the increase in VAT to the independent dealer, in order to maintain key SRP points and dealer profit margins – meaning that Vogel’s in effect will reduce trade prices by 2.5% with immediate effect on all products.

This new product range and price freezing are two of a host of new initiatives aimed at supporting the independents in 2011. This year Vogel’s plans to go the extra mile to become the independents’ number one choice for wall mounts in terms of quality, value and profitability.
