The latest VAIO series is clearly structured around the needs of their target markets.
The E Series notebooks – with the widest popular appeal – comes in three screen sizes, 14in, 15.5in and 17in, to accommodate the choice of HD entertainment options. Sporting a signature ‘wrap-around’ design, the VAIO E is aimed at families, students and anyone who enjoy fuss-free multimedia computing.
The S Series is about power and mobility and it comes in choice of 13.3in and 15.5 in screen sizes. It features a new slot-in optical DVD drive that maintains the notebook slim looks. The S series notebooks have an integrated 500GB hard disk drive but a docking station is available as an optional accessory, and there is also an optional sheet battery that boosts battery life to up to 154 hours.
The T Series is the first Sony Ultrabook that comes under VAIO name. It’s always ready for action: just after opening the lid the Rapid Wake + Eco technology ‘gets it up’ in seconds. After closing the lid the Ultrabook goes into an energy-efficient sleep, keeping data stored safely for up to 90 days without running out of power. Its battery lasts up to 9 hours, and due to the latest generation of Ultra Low Voltage Intel Core processors the T Series is ultra fast.
The notebooks in all three series are equipped in HD web camera, VAIO Assist software, a charger for a smartphone, active even when the notebook is closed, hard drive shock protection and the Rapid Wake Up feature.
