Acoustic Energy has unveiled a new dealer promotion for the spring period. Customers buying any full size AE loudspeaker or loudspeaker package (from the Neo range upwards) will be able to claim a set of AE’s What Hi-Fi Sound & Vision 5-Star award winning Bluetooth loudspeakers worth £99 free. This promotion aims to drive customers into stores and off-set the expected sales downturn following the VAT rise in January.

Euromonitor International has once again ranked Haier as the world’s number one major appliances brand with 6.1% retail volume share in 2010. The company has successfully increased its global brand share by almost 20% from 2009. 

CIH Group has launched a joint national press campaign with Bosch. The campaign offers consumers a free Bosch Tassimo drinks maker from participating Euronics stores when they purchase selected Bosch Exxcel appliances. The promotion is supported with a range of PoS materials, and CIH has created local press advertisements, which its members can customise with their own details.

LG Electronics has launched a nationwide £6m campaign, focusing on making 3D TV accessible to British consumers while reducing confusion surrounding the technology. The campaign includes a nationwide experiential tour, dedicated Facebook activity, an online interactive Q&A tool and a new cinema advertisement.

LG Electronics is extending its existing internet TV offering to bring consumers access to even more online applications, such as NetCast, with nine new applications including BBC iPlayer, movies on demand from Acetrax, Google Maps, Facebook, Twitter and an internet radio application for the ultimate connected TV.

Samsung Electronics has renewed its UK white goods distribution contract with NYK Logistics. The company will distribute all Samsung’s white goods throughout the UK and Ireland.

Sony UK today announced the launch of ‘Video On Demand powered by Qriocity’. Available across Europe and the UK, it is a pay-per-view movie streaming service that allows film fans to rent hundreds of movies, including the latest releases and films from local studios, straight to their Sony 2010 network-enabled BRAVIA TV, Blu-ray Disc player, or Blu-ray Disc Home Theatre system.
