BDC have teamed up with Freesat to bring a range of Humax and Panasonic Freesat products to the independents market. BDC have organised for 300 free of charge point of display kits to promote Freesat to the consumer and is also arranging a series of training events which will demonstrate the benefits   of Freesat.
BDC has further demonstrated its commitment to the independent sector by joining retra as an associate member. 
Eton Corporation has announced a new line of digital and Eco radios for 2008.  The new range has been designed in a modern style that will appeal to a younger audience. Eton already boasts the number one place in terms of sales of portable and crank radios in the USA and is set to increase their presence in the UK.
Hotpoint has once again been voted the ‘UK’s Most Trusted Domestic Appliance Brand’ for 2008 by Readers Digest.
iC mounting Solutions, a brand of Chief Manufacturing, a manufacturer of wall mounting solutions, has expended its training programme for dealers and retailers by introducing an e-learning programme, ‘Knowledge College’. It covers installation and product features, as well    as sales argumentation assisting dealers with selecting a suitable mounting solution for their customers.
The PURE Highway in-car DAB digital radio adaptor has won ‘Product of the Year’ in the 2008 Auto Express Product Honours. The Awards, which recognise excellence in the accessories and car care sectors, were featured in a special issue of Auto Express on 7 May.
The judges of this year’s TIPA (Technical Image Press Association) Awards has recognised the Sony compact a200 as ‘Best Entry-level D-SLR in Europe’.
