Beko is investing heavily in its digital presence with a re-launch of its website (www.beko.co.uk), digital advertising and a series of online competitions.

Belling has announced a 12 month programme of activity for 2012 to celebrate its centenary year. Founded in 1912 by Charles Reginald Belling with capital of just £150, in a shed in Enfield, Belling has become a company with a multi-million pound turnover and more than 1,000 employees in the UK. The celebrations will include the Centenary Collection – a suite of specially designed products, plus a calendar of events for retailers, customers and employees.

De’Longhi and Nescafé Dolce Gusto have announced a new partnership deal to launch a range of De’Longhi-branded Nescafé Dolce Gusto pod coffee machines. 

In January 2012, Fagor will unveil SPOUTNIK; an innovative microwave oven design which is unique in the SDA marketplace. The launch follows a creative marketing campaign on trade magazine websites and via social media networks during December 2011 and January 2012: (www.fagor.co.uk/spoutnik).

Hama (UK) has extended its audio accessories solution by partnering with Zound industries. Hama will become the sole UK distributor for its popular headphone ranges including Urban Ears, Coloud and Marshall Headphones.

Jual Furnishings  is looking to sign-up independent electrical retailers, as part of its business growth plans. Jual Furnishings encourages customers to put a display model in-store and delivers products the next day. The company offers a no- minimum order quantity policy, which is backed up by next day delivery, on orders received before 3pm; and a full after sales service.

Orbitsound is currently the number one selling soundbar brand in the UK by sales and value, according to GfK. In October 2010, the company held a 10.4% share by volume of the GB market; a figure which more than doubled to 26.1% in October 2011.

The PURE Lounge app is now available on the Android Market Place.

Samsung has launched the UK’s first media art competition. The Samsung Art+ prize will showcase the works of technologically-forward contemporary artists and is designed to increase the awareness of new media art in the UK.
