Armour Home has announced the launch of a new subsidiary company Armour Nordic, to distribute selected Armour brands in Sweden.

BDC has launched its redesigned website, www.bdc.co.uk, giving customers a convenient method of ordering electrical goods. It will feature every product stocked by the distributor. BDC offers free delivery on all orders over £75 made via the website.

Hotpoint has become a ‘Superbrand’. To achieve Superbrand status, shortlisted brands are voted for by over 2,200 UK consumers, with only the top brands representing quality, reliability and distinction, making it through to the final list. Hotpoint has also been voted the ‘Most Trusted Domestic Appliance Brand’ in the annual Reader’s Digest survey for the 9th year running.

Market statistics from GfK have showed that Lec is the fastest growing refrigeration brand in the UK combined cooling and freezing sector. Lec’s share of the cooling market has grown by 34.2% in value year on year during the period March 2008 to March 2009.

Panasonic’s digital still camera Lumix G-Series has received the TIPA (Technical Image Press Association) Award for the Best Design Innovation in Europe 2009.

Philips Consumer Lifestyle has renewed a multi-media deal with Eurosport to leverage its sponsorship of the AT&T Williams team. In the deal Eurosport will make a second season of its TV programme ‘The Factory’ which is focused on the behind-the-scenes activities at the Formula One team.

Peerless Industries, the leader in professional-grade audio/visual mounting solutions, has merged with BBG Distribution. BBG will continue trading as BBG Distribution Limited and distributing the existing line up of BBG brands, but will become a subsidiary of Peerless Industries, Inc. 

Smeg’s SUK62CMX5 60cm Concert Cooker with double oven and ceramic hob has scooped the Which? magazine ‘Best Buy’ title for the second year running, which was announced in the May issue.

The Whirlpool Corporation has been named one of the top ten most respected American companies by the Reputation Institute and Forbes.com. In the fourth annual survey by the Reputation Institute, American consumers placed the Whirlpool Corporation sixth on the list of the largest 150 companies with their HQ in US.
