The Local Data Company has reported recently that shop vacancy rates across Great Britain decreased slightly by 0.01% in the month of April 2013 to 14.1%.

Although this figure is still significantly high, it will come as encouraging news that the trend appears to be heading in the right direction as April 2012 reported a shop vacancy rate of 14.6% and October 2012 14.4%.
