Team UKI brings innovation without inflation

Team UKI, the Birmingham-based small appliance brand, which is part of Team Kalorik, Europe’s biggest privately owned SKA company, prides itself in bringing to the market appliances with a difference – in terms of functionality and performance.  “We have always been very choosy about the products we sell. They have to provide real benefits to the consumer – they either have special features, perform a particular function or they look special. For the retailers our products have to provide realistic margins,” Tony Goldenfeld, managing director of Team UKI commented to IER.
The company distributes three product brands: Team UKI – the core mid-range brand, featuring cooking, ironing, beverage and kitchen-counter appliances; Efbe-Schott – the German floorcare brand, with innovative steam mops and one of the most powerful 2700W vacuum cleaners on the market, and ProStar – the high-end cooking appliance brand.  To ensure customers’ satisfaction, the company tests all its products in an independent Paris laboratory and runs different real-life customer tests before bringing them to the market.
A recent example of Team UKI innovations is a filter kettle with a fast-flow filter which works so quickly that water is almost instantly ready for boiling. Many of these products do not come at premium rates. “We recognise that where we have like-for-like products but with extra features, we have to be competitive with existing high street prices,” said Maurice Wilson, Team UKI sales director. “Team UKI brings innovation without inflation.”
Responding to the recent societal changes, Team UKI has introduced two ranges of appliances: the compact range including such diverse appliances as a 1.5l slow cooker and a table top 4-place dishwasher; and the energy efficient eco-range, which includes 780W vertical rotisserie.
