Spotify further expands the Philips Smart TV offering in the UK

TP Vision has announced the availability of Spotify on its Philips Smart TV offering in the UK. The music streaming service is the latest addition to services currently on offer through the Philips Smart TV platform. The Spotify cloud-based service is available mid-December.

The new Spotify app will provide access to one of the world’s largest music streaming services for the 6008, 7008, 8008 and 9708 Philips Smart TV 2013 series.

With a premium subscription, Spotify provides instant access to over 20 million songs, top tracks and albums and the ability to listen to and manage playlists. New Spotify customers will get a free 30-days premium access to trial Spotify on a Philips Smart TV.

Pascal de Mul, Global head of hardware partnerships at Spotify, said: “With Spotify now available on Philips Smart TVs, users can enjoy millions of tracks – right in the comfort of their own home. This cooperation with TP Vision is another great step towards our goal of making all the world’s music easily and instantly accessible on every platform out there.”
