Sony has launched a new speaker that produces sound through an organic glass tweeter, which incorporates a soft light that flickers like a candle.

The built-in battery in the LSPX-S3 offers eight hours of playback and the speaker is Bluetooth compatible, featuring LDAC technology for high quality sound transmission,

You can also connect two Glass Sound Speakers to create a stereo pair, so that each speaker can act as a left or right audio channel.

Users can even sync the light to pulse in time with their music. The LSPX-S3 has four different lighting modes and 32 brightness levels.

The speaker isn’t only designed to be stylish, but also with the environment in mind. Less than 5% of the packaging material is made from plastic, reflecting Sony’s commitment to reducing the environmental impact of its product and practices.

The LSPX-S3 is available from next month, priced at around £315.
