Italian appliance manufacturer Smeg has revealed its pride in winning the title of small domestic appliance (SDA) supplier of the year at the Sirius Buying Group awards. The company says that the win acknowledges Smeg’s aim to develop a long-lasting relationship with the Sirius Buying Group.
Smeg adds that the award serves as recognition of the hard work which has gone into taking the brand in a new direction. This new focus includes Smeg’s first ever retro 50s style range of small domestic appliances which includes kettles, toasters, stand mixers, blenders and slow juicers.
This isn’t Smeg’s first Sirius awards win as the brand walked away with the prize for best major domestic appliances (MDA) at last year’s trade show, with the manufacturer adding that the consecutive wins help reinforce Smeg’s mutually beneficial relationship with the buying group, which it describes as ‘going from strength to strength’.
Smeg UK managing director Mike Giddings said: “As a longstanding supporter and loyal supplier to the Sirius Group we are delighted to receive this award and constantly thrive to build our relationship year on year.
“We are extremely proud of our innovative new SDA range and are extremely pleased to see this new channel turn into such a strong commercial success.”
The company also revealed that more additions to its SDA range are set to be released before the end of the year.
