Whirlpool UK Appliances has been named the Manufacturer of the Year in the Sirius Awards, for its efforts and the support offered to members throughout 2020.

The award was presented to Whirlpool UK based on the results of the quarterly performance ratings provided by retail members of the buying group. Factors that were taken into consideration included customer service, representation and deliveries, as well as the monthly support offered by suppliers for aspects such as online projects and exhibitions.

Steve Jones, managing director of Sirius Buying Group, said: “The growth we experienced with Whirlpool last year, admittedly under extreme circumstances, was hard to overlook with support still evident as conferences and exhibitions transitioned to digital events.”

Innes Murray, channel director at Whirlpool UK Appliances, added: “We are honoured to receive any accolade that demonstrates our mutual working relationship with the independent sector, and this award from Sirius is great testament to the hard work from both the team and the support from the membership.”
