Secret Ingredient event gives boost to Dumfries retailer

In Industry News On

May 31 saw Tom Kitchin take part in an interactive cookery demonstration hosted by Electrolux at Kevin Farish Domestic Appliances in Dumfries. Every seat was taken for the event, with more customers queuing for Tom’s book signing which took place afterwards.

The theme was ‘steam’ and over 100 people watched as Tom, Chef Proprietor of Edinburgh restaurant The Kitchin, created dishes using the latest Electrolux appliances. Following the demonstration, visitors were invited to an exclusive signing of Tom’s latest book Kitchin Suppers.

The event gave both Kevin Farish and Electrolux’s brands exposure to the public in the Dumfries and Galloway Region.

Electrolux regional sales manager Scott Thomson commented: “Business was also good before and after the event with lots of Electrolux and AEG product being sold. Kevin really appreciates our support to him and his business and our relationship with him has already grown by 92% this year. The success of this event was also down to the hard ‘behind the scenes work’ from Electrolux teams in both sales and marketing, with particular thanks to Charlie Westley and Beth McGunnigle.”
