Samsung Home Appliances is launching ‘Free Kicks for Kids’, a nationwide campaign starting on Saturday 6 April 2013 that aims to get over 16,000 youngsters in the UK playing football.
Parents will be able to register both boys and girls aged between six and 13 to take part in free, hour-long coaching sessions with top coaches from the Chelsea Foundation. Selected Goals Soccer Centres will host the ‘Free Kicks for Kids’ fitness and skills sessions every Saturday from April 6 to November 30 2013. The young players involved in each of the hour-long sessions will be divided into four age groups – six to seven, eight to nine, 10 to 11 and 12 to 13.
Robert King, vice president of Consumer Electronics, Samsung Electronics UK & Ireland said; “To build on our partnership with the Chelsea Foundation and after the success of Samsung’s London 2012 campaign, ‘Free Kicks for Kids’ will continue Samsung’s Olympic Games legacy by promoting sport and a healthy way of life to the younger generation. Football is such a huge part of our culture in the UK and as sponsors of Chelsea Football Club, we are excited to be able to offer children in the UK the chance to be trained by Chelsea Coaches with our ‘Free Kicks for Kids’ programme.”
Samsung Home Appliances will create a relaxed waiting area at each of the weekend events, packed with its latest products, where parents will be able to watch their children taking part in the football sessions.
