Groupe SEB, whose portfolio of brands includes Tefal, Rowenta and Krupps, has entered the summer retail season with a host of product innovations.
Perhaps the most significant one was Rowenta’s return to the UK floorcare market with a cordless and bagless handstick vacuum cleaner – AIR FORCE. Utilising cyclonic technology that maintains suction power at a high level, it has the power of a standard vacuum cleaner on hard floors but in an easy-to-use cordless handstick form, delivering an efficient cleaning performance on all types of floor combined with the freedom of ease of use for daily cleaning. It provides 40 minutes of vacuuming time through a combination of 15 rechargeable batteries and an efficient motor with low energy consumption.
The company has also launched a new pressure cooker, the Tefal NutriCook that prepares tasty food with an optimum preservation of nutrients. It pressure cooks food with “the minimum level of air, the minimum level of light, the minimum level of oxygen and at the right speed and temperature”. Its heat sensitive vent evacuates up to 90% of the oxygen content of the air whilst a steam basket optimises the steam circulation to keep air away from the food during the pressure cooking process.
Groupe SEB has also updated and improved its bestselling products, such as ActiFry, the Tefal low calorie fryer, the capacity of which has been increased by 50%, and the VitaCuisine Compact steamer. Using specially designed trays that allow the steam to rise throughout the cooking areas, it prevents juices from dropping onto the levels below. Its design enables the user to shrink it by 35% when not in use, meaning it’s easy to store and fits into a dishwasher.
