After 23 distinguished years with Roberts Radio, industry stalwart Leslie Burrage is set to retire on March 31 of this year.
Known affectionately as ‘Sir Les’ amongst his peers, Leslie has spent 58 years working in the consumer electronics industry. His career at Roberts Radio commenced when Glen Dimplex acquired the business in 1994 and, during his time at the helm, Leslie has overseen a number of key launches – including the first portable DAB radio, sound systems and internet radio.
Glen Dimplex chief executive officer Fergal Naughton commented: “I wish Leslie every success in his retirement. I’d like to thank him for his commitment and the significant contribution he has made to Roberts Radio and Glen Dimplex.”
Leslie will transition to the role of advisor to the chief executive officer in order to facilitate a smooth handover.
