British manufacturer Pure has introduced the ‘world’s first digital radio dock with 30 pin, lightning connector and Bluetooth’, the Contour D1.
The model accommodates Apple models with both 30 pin and lightning connectors, and features Bluetooth streaming from Apple and Android devices.
Pure’s director of marketing Nick Hucker said: “Despite the growing trend towards streaming music wirelessly, consumers still want and need to charge their Apple devices. Contour D1 offers the best possible flexibility for all the family with the choice of docking old or new Apple models, listening to a wide variety of digital radio stations or playing music wirelessly from the comfort of the sofa regardless of Android or Apple ownership.”
Contour D1 comes with a revolving dock with clip in adaptor so users can charge and playback audio from new and legacy iPods, iPhones and iPads. Additionally, users of smart devices with Bluetooth can stream audio wirelessly to Contour D1. The D1 also includes digital radio, giving users the choice to listen to their favourite stations in digital quality.
Pure also offer the Pure Connect app which enables access to over 20,000 global internet radio stations, in excess of 200,000 free on-demand programmes and podcasts as well as millions of streamable music tracks via Pure’s subscription music service. All content from the Pure Connect app can be streamed wirelessly to Contour D1 via Bluetooth.
Contour D1 delivers 20W RMS of audio power. Other features include DAB, FM, input for other audio devices and a full-function slimline remote control with magnetic remote tidy.
