Pure has announced their continuation of the long established Evoke series into its 4th generation with the new Evoke D4.
The new Evoke has been adapted include to a more streamline look, improved audio and additional new features. Users can choose between the Evoke D4, a portable digital and FM radio with a real walnut or oak veneer casing or the Evoke D4 with Bluetooth, which comes in a sleek real wood ‘domino’ black or ‘glacier’ white matt finish and adds Bluetooth for wireless streaming.
Nick Hucker, Pure’s director of marketing said: “2013 is an important milestone for digital radio with the government committed to making a positive decision on radio switchover by the end of this year. As the company that pioneered the digital radio revolution with the original Evoke-1, which turned ten last year, we have an incredibly strong roadmap of digital radio products for the home and the car to suit the needs of all consumers as the category develops in the coming years and becomes more mainstream.”
Both of the new Evokes include a user-friendly remote control and the touch sensitive Snoozehandle allows simplistic “snooze alarm” functionality. Other features include an iPod/ MP3 player input, optional rechargeable F1 battery pack, which delivers 50 hours of portable listening 30 presets with four quick access buttons, kitchen and sleep timers, tone or radio alarm and a stereo headphone socket.
