INTELLIGENT use of space and focus on modern design and ergonomics have driven product development at the Hoover Candy Group, demonstrated at the company’s annual Centres for Excellence Conference.
Building on the success of its 8kg laundry appliances, Hoover introduced the first 9kg washers and driers that fit the standard footprint. These products are a part of the Hoover VisionHD range, which also features larger portholes, a central programming dial and a new ‘In Touch’ control panel which gives consumers the freedom to decide whether they need to extend the wash length, adjust the temperature, water level or spin speed. Hoover Vision washers also have redesigned drums which utilise increased water pressure, a curved cylinder and raised dome system for more effective wash and reduced clothes creasing.
In the refrigeration sector, Hoover launched a new 600mm platform range of fridge/freezers, which make a maximum use of their internal space, and a range of undercounter wine coolers.
The company has also made an entry into the premium market with the stylish matt black VisionBlack collection which incorporates the Vision HD 8kg washer, VisionOne dishwasher and VisionCool fridge/freezer.
Perhaps the most significant floorcare development was Freemotion – a range of vacuum cleaners with Navigation System which allows the cleaner to reach dust right up the wall edge and a Front & Side Clean nozzle which rotates 90° and turns sideways to access narrow and difficult to reach areas.
