THE long-awaited PlayStation 3 from Sony is due to hit UK stores on 23 March, says the maker. The next-generation games console is expected to sell for around £425 for the 60GB model, while the 20GB will not be made available until later in the year, dependent on demand. The PS3 will feature a Blu-ray Disc drive, and an HDMI 1.3 connection for full 1080P HD output and will be fully backwards compatible with PS2 and PS1 games.
