Pioneer has announced a collaboration that will integrate Spotify into a wide range of its latest products incorporating newly launched Spotify Connect.
Spotify Connect will be available on a wide range of Pioneer’s AV receivers and home audio systems. Compatible models include Pioneer’s 2013 networked AV receivers from the VSX-528 upwards and the entire SMA wireless speaker line-up. More compatible products are set to be revealed at IFA and over the coming weeks.
The new service is designed to make it easy for users to bring playlists on a phone into the home. Users can control Spotify from using a tablet and seamlessly switch the sound to another speaker in the house if required.
Spotify Connect will also compensate for previous issues with unstable connections to stream music between devices and interruptions from incoming phone calls, loss of signal range or watching video.

Pioneer endeavours to develop products that enhance the consumer listening experience and Spotify Connect is definitely something that will give a whole new level of usability, allowing them to enjoy their music more than ever.”
