Off The Wall celebrates tenth birthday at Euronics Show

In Industry News On

British TV furniture manufacturer Off The Wall Limited celebrated 10 years in business and used this week’s Euronics show at the NEC to thank some of its loyal independent customers for their support over the past decade.

The first retail customer to start trading with Off The Wall back in 2006 was Maxwells of Northallerton, and pictured are Bill and Paul Burton who received a bottle of champagne in recognition. Paul from Maxwells said: “The fact that Off The Wall are still going strong and we’re still buying their product is testament to what a great product they have.”

Off the WallPhil McDonald (pictured centre) was also one of the company’s first customers while working as a buyer for PowerHouse. He liked the products so much he joined the company, and has been sales manager for the past eight years.

Joint owners Oliver Mitchell and Jason Stebbens believe their success since starting out ten years ago is down to, “Our high quality, no compromise products made in Yorkshire with most components also sourced locally, together with high quality service and after sales support to both our retail customers and end users.”

Oliver continued: “The show seems a fitting platform to celebrate our tenth birthday as business with CIH members in 2015 was almost 80% up on the previous year, which I guess proves our products and distribution model, linked to providing a high level of customer support to this important sales channel is working.”

Off The Wall’s first and still best-selling Origin stand reached another milestone recently with the 30,000th stand coming off the production line. This statistic together with year-on-year growth, OEM contracts with Sony, B&O and Samsung/Euronics and a factory move in 2008 (when the headcount also doubled) has resulted in the company always being at the forefront of designing and manufacturing TV furniture for the consumer electronics industry.

Following a recent agreement to distribute Off The Wall TV furniture to the US and Latin America markets, the manufacturer is now in discussion with a company to open up distribution on a pan European platform later this year.

The show also provided On The Wall with an opportunity to showcase some of this year’s new products, including its Arc with integrated TV mount/Soundbar bracket in both cantilever glass shelf and cabinet versions.
