Former Samsung UK general sales manager, Colin Rodgers, has launched a new sales company specialising in consumer electronics (CE) and targeting both national, independent and digital retailers.
The business, which is called CRMB Ltd, will also provide new and existing brands with channel management and offer a wide range of services, including sales to physical and online retailers; end-to-end account management; researching and gathering market intelligence; generating new business; sales consulting; additional B2B sales and marketing advice.
Colin, who recently left Samsung UK, has over 20 years’ experience in consumer electronics sales. He spent the past 15 years at Samsung UK – 12 of those as general sales manager. Prior to that, he worked at Sharp, Toshiba and Sony Music.
He has decided to launch CRMB Ltd in order to provide brands in the CE industry with a professional, outsourced sales resource, which offers cost-efficient services, but doesn’t compromise on quality.
Commenting on the launch of his new business, Colin said: “I am ideally placed to offer brands a strong representation. The cost to brands of looking after accounts with a good level of professional sales service is high, so it makes perfect sense for them to outsource that function to a highly experienced team.”
He added: “With many companies reviewing the cost and efficiency of their sales operations, it is the ideal time to be starting this new venture and the response from brands I have already spoken to has been very positive.”
The first brand to be signed up by CRMB Ltd is Aiwa with more launching over the coming weeks.
“I am delighted to announce that CRMB will be working with Hanaco Ltd on the relaunch of the Aiwa brand of exciting and premium quality audio products in the UK,” said Colin.
As CRMB Ltd develops, additional account managers will be employed and extra services, such as reward and incentive programmes, product training and marketing resource deployment, will be added.
According to Colin: “CRMB Ltd aims to be more than just a sales agency – it will be the outsourced sales operation that consumer electronic brands in the UK have been looking for. I am keen to talk to any brand or retailer that is interested in working with us.”
