More innovations from Home-tek

In Industry News On

Home-tek International, which has its own factory and design studio in China, is consistently bringing new products with distinctive USPs to the market. At its recent product showcase, Home-tek revealed new additions to its Ainsley Harriott label, among them the Nutri-Steam food steamer (AH171) whose unique feature is the steam function which rapidly produces steam within seconds to seal food so it retains up to 50% more vitamins and nutrients compared with other food steamers, says the manufacturer. Its unique ‘clip’ system allows the top tier to be removed without the base, enabling easy and safe removal of hot dishes. This also allows the top two tiers to be used as one for cooking large foods such as a whole chicken.
Home-tek, renowned for its steam cleaning products, has also introduced the Light’n’Easy handheld steam cleaner (HT851) which by producing a continuous high temperature ‘dry’ steam (110ºC) allows users to clean and sanitize kitchen work surfaces, marble tops and tiles. The company has also updated its well-known Light’n’Easy steam mop which can be used on both hard floors and carpets. Now it is simply operated by pulling back the handle which activates the steam. Putting the handle back to the upright position stops the steam. The mop is used with a specially designed micro-fibre cloth which constitutes a good retail opportunity for additional revenue. Frank Fox, Home-tek commercial executive, commented to IER: “Last year we sold 200,000 steam mops and to support them we sold 350,000 packs of pads. From the retailer’s point of view each mop will give him c. 1.5 packs of pads which is a good revenue stream.”
