Miele broadens its cooking and floorcare product offer

This year’s Miele product showcase themed ‘Designed for your senses’ demonstrated the breadth and sophistication of the manufacturer’s cooking product offer. The focus was on built-in cooking, the flagship of which was the Generation 5000 ovens that come in 60 and 90cm widths and feature Moisture Plus, a method that combines dry heat with steam. They have a number of practical features such as a wireless roast probe and pyrolytic cleaning.
The design highlight of the range is the 90cm oven, equipped with a control panel in the form of a three-dimensional unit that tilts towards the user. The Generation 5000 range also includes two models which are available with a side-opening door, hinged either right or left.
Having used steam for over 25 years, Miele now offers a choice of three steam models: pure steam, combination steam and steam pressures. The pure steam models have six steaming functions for different types of food, while the DG5080 has over 150 automatic programmes for different dishes.
As a part of the new Generation 5000 range, Miele has introduced two warming drawers – available in two sizes – 14cm and 29cm high. They have three temperature settings and five time settings between two to five hours.
A new product category for Miele, unveiled at the showcase, was a range of upright vacuum cleaners – the S7 range – specifically designed for the UK market, which has a number of unique features like ‘headlight’, two motors and a pivoting body.
