Michael R Peters wins Best Customer Service at IMA 2008

The Michael R Peters Group, which has been in business for 42 years, has won the Best Customer Service Award sponsored by retra, at this year’s Independent Marketing Awards.
The Group has three shops in Bedford, situated side by side: Michael R Peters, Tavistock Sound and Vision and the Bedford Cooker Centre.  It also has its own in-house service department. Mike Peters, the founder of the company, died in 2007 and his wife Mary now owns the business. The business is managed by Paul Mead who was appointed as managing director of the Group in June last year.
The professionalism, service excellence and the company’s commitment to training, helped it win a number of awards. In 1999, Mike Peters won the Sony/Retra Dealer of the Year, in 2002, the Bedfordshire Small Business of the Year award and in 2004 the Federation of Small Businesses UK Merit Award.   
 Paul Mead, managing director of the Michael R Peters Group, commented to IER: “Winning such a prestigious national award for Best Customer Service has confirmed that we are perpetuating the legacy of the late Mike Peters, who built the business and its reputation with outstanding customer care.”
