Loewe has opened its first Galerie shop in the UK, following the success of the format in the company’s home country of Germany.
The first store is located in Hampstead High Street, North London, marking the start of a store rollout to include another London store in Lavender Hill, along with a shop in Glasgow, Scotland.
The German manufacturer has also opened a concession in the London Selfridges store on Oxford Street and re-launched its Harrods concession.
Kevin Kelly, managing director of Loewe UK comments: “The Loewe Galerie concept has proven a huge success in Germany, Loewe’s home nation and we expect similar success in the UK as the biggest TV market in Europe. The stores complement Loewe’s brand and product ethos brilliantly by bringing a first-class approach to audiovisual retailing”.
Loewe plans to open 20 stores in the UK by the end of 2009, and aims to have up to fifty stores open over the next three years.
