LAUNCHING its latest range of Vaio computers and notebooks, Sony reinforced its intention to clearly differentiate Vaio products for different customer markets and needs.

The CW Series, a stylish multimedia notebook, which comes in black, blue, red, pink and white, is aimed at fashion conscious users who value not only its powerful performance but also such ergonomic features as the perfectly-pitched keyboard.

The notebook is a multimedia heavyweight, with on-board NVIDIA GeForce graphics to handle HD video editing, 3D games and other applications. Three buttons placed just above the keyboard give onetouch access to useful functions, such as website favourites, the LCD display which can be turned off to reduce power consumption while the user listens to music and Media Gallery access for browsing digital photos, videos and music tracks.

The new L Series is an HD home entertainment PC with a 24in LCD touchscreen for fingertip control. The VAIO L Series is the perfect focal point for today’s digital home, complete with generous 500GB memory disk space to store all family photos, videos, TV programmes and music to stream, share and sync with laptops, netbooks and other devices around the home. The touchpanel gives instant access to Media Gallery with its vast functionality.

Meanwhile, Vaio X series which is 13.9mm slim and weighs 655g, is the lightest business notebook, according to the manufacturer. It is equipped in an 11.1in X-black LCD screen with LED technology and it is fully featured for the demands of business travellers. Thanks to its very low voltage processor and energy efficient LED panel, it works for eight hours on a single charge.
