At LG’s London Design Centre, the company presented an exclusive preview of independent research revealing the nation’s lifestyle habits, which has been used to develop its 2009 range of home appliances.
Highlights of the collection include the world’s first non-plumbed ice and water refrigerator. In black (GWL227HBYA) or brushed steel (GWL227HSYA), the A-rated side-by-side model also features electronic temperature control, digital sensors and express freezing.
Stealing the show with its luxurious styling and design was an etched stainless steel Homebar fridge freezer that incorporates a Swarovski crystal button. The GRP247JHMV has a plumbed ice and water dispenser and A+ energy rating.
Additions to the Direct Drive laundry range include the 8kg F1447TD in white, the F1447TD5 in silver and the F1203TD6 in black along with the Steam Direct Drive F1403TDS in white with an 8kg capacity. With its matching fascia, making it ideal for consumers looking for a stacking laundry solution, the 9kg B-rated sensor tumble dryer comes in black (RC9011B), luxury silver (RC9011C) and blue white (RC9011A). The popular Direct Drive range also includes a new washer dryer with 9kg washing/6kg drying capacity.
LG has updated its cooking appliances portfolio to incorporate speed cooking and multi-functionality with the DuoChef, which is the world’s first convection microwave to use two fans for even distribution of heat.
