After nine seasons backstage caring for catwalk couture, to mark its tenth season as the official Garment Care Supplier for London Fashion Week, LG’s Steam Team is branching out to Soho by offering a ‘Style Saving Service’.
The enterprise comes in light of new research which reveals that a quarter of Brits are left frustrated when their outfit doesn’t look great; and as a result over a third claimed to have called-off a first date, missed a night out with friends or cancelled a job interview due to food and drink mishaps, LG says.
The Style Saving Service, in partnership with Very.co.uk, will help tackle commuter coffee spills and lunchtime lasagne disasters at the start of London Fashion Week (February 19 2016) in Soho (W1). People are invited to tweet @LGUK with the hashtag #SaveOurStyle in order to arrange a pick-up from LG’s garment carers.
LG Electronics UK head of brand Dawn Stockell said: “This is our tenth consecutive season as the Official Garment Care supplier for London Fashion Week and we are delighted that for the first time ever we will be bringing the expertise and service of our backstage steam team to consumers in the wider Soho area. LG is committed to helping clothes last for longer and we not only want to help people look good, but also feel good thanks to the innovative technology of our washing machines, which helps people care for their fashion.”
In addition to the Style Saving Service, LG and Very.co.uk have announced that they will run a series of competitions to win a limited edition pink wrapped washing machine, with more details on LG UK’s Facebook page.
