LG Electronics (LG) aired its first TV advertisement in its new OLED TV campaign, set to run nationwide throughout the summer, on May 21. The campaign creative focuses on LG’s OLED screen technology with the strapline ‘Only Perfect Black creates Perfect Colour’, which will be seen across TV, print and digital media, as well as retail and experiential activity.
LG believes that OLED screen technology coupled with high resolution picture, as featured in its 2015 OLED 4K line-up, represents the future of TV and the brand says it is committed to ‘continued development and expansion of its OLED offering’, making it an increasingly viable option for consumers. All in-store, TV and online communications will reinforce LG’s dedication to the OLED TV category, continuing to raise consumer awareness and understanding of the benefits of OLED, the company adds.
LG will also deliver the campaign message through to retail, from in-store OLED displays to shop window take-overs, through to a number of experiential activities in a selection of shopper destinations, including Bluewater, Westfield Stratford and Southampton. This will offer consumers the opportunity to engage with LG’s OLED 4K TVs themselves and experience the benefits of OLED screen technology first hand, the manufacturer says.

The retail execution of this campaign will allow us to take our story directly to shoppers on the high street and critically, give them the chance to actually experience the technology first-hand.”
