The latest product innovations from LG employ the power of steam either to improve cooking results (and energy consumption!), to sanitise the laundry or to deliver the benefits of steam cleaning with its floorcare.
LG has added steam to its 11kg Direct Drive washer not only to make it even more energy efficient (it is A+++ rated) but also to enhance its hygiene credentials. A combination of steam particles and a 10 minute spin at 60 degrees washes out dust, pollen and 99.98% of dust mites – eliminating allergens from clothes, sheets and towels. The new Steam Direct Drive washer also has a 20-minutes steam refresh setting to remove creases and unwanted odours. Moreover, the steam used during washes saves up to 29% of water and 21%of energy compared to a conventional 8kg washing machine. Also the unique ‘6 motion’ technology allows the drum to turn both ways and to perform a variety of different actions, meaning that delicate fabrics will be treated gently and dirty items will get a thorough treatment.
Meanwhile LG’s Steam Solar Cube microwave oven combines the speed and power of microwave cooking with the health benefits of steam cooking. Also, the oven’s multi heating system reduces energy consumption by up to 40% compared to conventional units and cooks food three times faster than a conventional electric oven.
The new Compressor Vacuum cleaner can be used with either a steam nozzle which helps sanitise hard floors or with a vibrating head designed to eliminate dust mites from mattresses and other items of bedding.
