Range cooker brand Leisure has announced its new brand ambassador; Dan Doherty, executive chef at London’s Duck & Waffle restaurant.
The young London chef is teaming up with the brand to bring to life and enthuse urban foodies and city dwellers about the benefits of range cooking, Leisure says. The new partnership will include Dan creating a series of recipes inspired by the ease and convenience that a Leisure range cooker can offer, including delicious brunch dishes and a family roast dinner. Leisure says that as one of the industry’s most up and coming chefs, Dan is the perfect partner for the range cooker brand, inspiring keen cooks to create unusual culinary creations.
Leisure brand manager George Lellis commented: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Dan; his enthusiasm for creating unique dishes through varied ingredients and cooking methods makes him the ideal face for the Leisure brand. His new recipes, exclusively created for Leisure, highlight the versatility of range cooking perfectly.
“Leisure range cookers have two ovens and a grill and five hobs, so there’s plenty of space to cook up a family roast dinner with all the trimmings. Brunch is one of the nation’s most popular weekend activities, and Dan’s griddled salt beef and sweet potato hash is bound to inspire a whole host of keen cooks to start crafting their own homemade feasts.”
Dan Doherty (pictured) added: “One of my greatest passions is teaching people about food and helping them become confident cooks. My new partnership with Leisure is another way of showing people that by simply having the right tools in place, such as a range cooker, cooking up a feast from scratch at home is suddenly achievable. There is a misconception about the size and ease of range cooking but this isn’t the case, I love the fact that Leisure makes range cooking accessible to everyone.”
