Kenwood hits the road with Masterchef

Small domestic appliance manufacturer Kenwood has announced its sponsorship of the MasterChef Restaurant & Bar and MasterChef Street Food UK roadshow.

The culinary event, which kicked off this summer to celebrate past and present MasterChef contestants, marks the 10th anniversary of the show and is set to serve up some delicious dishes for fans all over the UK.

From September 2 to October 5, the MasterChef Restaurant & Bar will be serving 12,500 customers over a five week period. An open kitchen restaurant, equipped with a selection of Kenwood products, will allow diners to watch the skilled MasterChef contestants cook their meals while they wait, and they will also be given the opportunity to meet the chefs afterwards.

The MasterChef contestants will cook meals inspired by the dishes made on the series, incorporating their ideas into a four course brunch, three course lunch, or four course dinner menu, created using simple, well-sourced ingredients prepared with Kenwood products. The restaurant will be housed in London’s Blue Fin Building on the Southbank, with views over the Thames.

Meanwhile, this summer the MasterChef Street Food UK roadshow is touring the UK’s food capitals including London, Birmingham and Bristol, laden with a selection of Kenwood products. The mobile kitchen aims to serve up to 15,000 customers and will finish its UK tour in Covent Garden, where the walk up café will be located from August 19 to September 15.
