John Lewis sales rise 8.8%

John Lewis reported last week a sales rise of 8.8% for the week previous compared to the same period last year, across its stores and online.

Price matching promotional activity saw the retailer increase footfall and sales growth in all departments for the week beginning 12th May 2013.

In particular, Electricals and Home Technology sales increased 11.7% compared with the same period in 2012.
