John Lewis appoints new buying and brand director

John Lewis has announced that Paula Nickolds will replace Peter Ruis as buying and brand director, who is leaving after nine years’ service to become chief executive of the Jigsaw fashion chain.

Nickolds started as a graduate trainee in 1994 and had progressed through the company to the position of buying director for the home department prior to this appointment.

Her new role will involve leadership of home, fashion and technology buying teams as well as responsibilities within the areas of marketing and brand development.

The role begins on 1st September 2013.
