INTEMPO

Last Christmas we predicted market demand for iPod accessories would remain strong.  Intempo has capitalised on this trend with the launch of its Go Pack which brings together all your essential iPod accessories in one value pack.  2009 will see the launch of our new accessories brand to meet, what we believe, will be a continuing trend in this area.

This year, even in the face of statistics from the DRDB, demand for DAB has weakened. It is no longer flavour of the month from both a retailer and a consumer perspective.  Consumers especially expect more from their audio.  We are seeing a strong uplift in the convergence sector – our RDi iPod speaker-dock with DAB radio is a solid seller – and we expect this convergence theme to continue in 2009; however we predict it will extend beyond audio into the gaming sector.

On a final note, we are still not convinced that standalone internet radio will be a success due to its poor sound quality.  We anticipate the launch of our RDi-W – internet radio with hi-fi quality speakers – will meet consumer need for wi-fi radio listening next year.
