With IFA on the horizon, among the brands, products and innovations on show at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds from August 31 to September 5 will be dedicated topic segments, the IFA Special Areas.
Smart Home presents comfortable living
In 2018, more than 70 exhibitors from 15 countries will be showcasing their forward-looking solutions for the networked home on a display area covering 3,000 square meters in the Smart Home section in Hall 6.2.
Compared to 2017 exhibitor numbers have almost doubled. Companies exhibiting include Somfy GmbH, innogy SE, devolo AG, eQ-3 AG, Conrad Connect GmbH, RING and Smartfrog Services GmbH.
At IFA 2018 the focus is on smart kitchens again. Be it LG, Samsung, Miele, Krups or Jura, all the major brands will be displaying new kitchen products at IFA. Products include a “milestone in home automation“, an assistant in the home, app-controlled coffee machines and a refrigerator that has recipes ready for each member of the family and takes any food allergies they have into account.

iZone – the meeting place for the industry
For six years now the iZone in Halls 12, 14.1 and 15.1 has been highlighting all the latest Mac, iTech and app products.
In 2018 over 90 companies from 25 countries will be showcasing their line-ups on a display area covering more than 3,700 square meters. Among the exhibitors are Soular, Incipio Group, Targus, My Kronoz, Parallels and Muvit. For developers, buyers and sellers of networked communications products, the IFA iZone is the international meeting place for the industry.

New health and fitness wearables
In 2018, on a display area covering 3,000 square meters, 28 exhibitors from 12 countries will be presenting their latest wearable health and fitness products and innovations in the IFA Fitness & Activity section in Hall 4.2b.
Wearable devices equipped with sensors and displays are a hugely successful leisure and sportswear trend. This year’s exhibitors include Fitbit, Casio, Garmin, TomTom and Qardio.
