IFA 2015: display areas details announced

In Industry News On

Special display areas such as the IFA iZone, IFA TecWatch, the Reseller Park, the meeting place for distributors and buyers (now in Hall 25), as well as the IFA Fitness & Activity Hall (7.2c) will be offering visitors to IFA fascinating insights into the latest topical trends at IFA, the tradeshow organisers have revealed.

Now into its fifth year, the IFA iZone in Halls 13 to 15 will be showing the full range of new products from Mac, iTech and apps. For manufacturers of accessories, developers, as well as buyers and sellers of products and solutions for the connected world the IFA iZone is a meeting place for the industry from around the world. In 2015 more than 80 companies will be exhibiting their products and services on a display area covering over 3,600 square metres.

IFA TecWatch displays the technologies for the markets of tomorrow, IFA says. From new standards and solutions for connected media, future-proof energy efficiency concepts, ease of operation in the networked home, data security and security for personal property, to 3D printer products or long-term transport concepts – at IFA TecWatch research institutions, industry organisations and startups will be displaying trend-setting innovations in a single place. The IFA TecWatch Forum in the centre of the hall will round off the product displays with a unique programme of papers and podium discussions, organisers add.

Inside the IFA Fitness & Activity area in Hall 7.2c manufacturers will be showcasing their latest wearable products and innovations. These devices feature sensors and screens and can be used to measure the wearer’s heart rate and running pace, for example. Visitors can find out more about fitness systems and test the functionality of these products in depth.

The UX Design Awards sponsored by the International Design Centre Berlin honour outstanding design and user-friendly features in electronic products, digital applications and services. All the product solutions that are nominated will go on public display at IFA and will be honoured at the presentation of the UX Design Awards. A programme of talks and workshops on the ’User Experience’ will accompany the exhibition.

The Reseller Park, now in Hall 25, will be the meeting place for decision-makers from the worlds of telecommunications, mobile products, accessories, consumer IT and the smart home. This is where sellers, distributors, retail industry buyers, OEMs and retailers can meet and do business in separate lounge areas away from the main fair.

The Telematics Awards 2015 honour smart home, eHealth and telemedicine solutions in the field of human telematics as well as systems for company car fleets, for example. The awards will be presented at a festive ceremony on September 7 at IFA. Participants will receive tickets by email 14 days before the event.
