Hutchinsons HiFi & Vision wins the Best Customer Service Award

Hutchinsons HiFi & Vision, which has been operating in Cheltenham since 1986, has won the Best Customer Service Award at this year’s Independent Business Awards.

John Hutchinson, MD of the company, commented to IER: “I was absolutely delighted to win this award. As a company we have invested a huge amount in the last couple of years improving our staff with specialist sales and customer support skills. The credit goes to my staff in taking on board the skills training and customer communications they have learnt from the irrepressible George Morton of Top Level Solutions.

 “Last year the company also invested in a new service facility in Hereford to further enhance our offering to customers. This has enabled us to offer repair facilities to customers who have purchased brands that we do not sell and accept servicing for consumers who have a Domestic & General extended warranty. We also offer servicing to other retailers who haven’t got their own facilities.”

 The proof of John Hutchinson’s team efforts and the right direction of the company’s strategy are their business results. In a recession, when many companies struggle to survive, Hutchinsons HiFi & Vision recorded a sales increase (like for like) in excess of 17% for the six months between January and June 2009 compared with the same period last year.
