Domestic appliance manufacturer Hoover was announced as the winner in the Appliance Innovation category at the Essential Kitchen and Bathroom Business Awards.
Hoover was congratulated for its built-in Hoover Vision Oven, for showing a breakthrough in technology, product functionality and energy efficiency.
Following last year’s inaugural event, the awards, held at The Brewery in London on Thursday November 30 2017, brought together 500 guests to celebrate key achievements of the industry’s leading designers, and praise forward-thinking products.
Hoover Candy UK built-in product manager Daniel Dewey commented: “This award is an important achievement for us, as innovation has been at the heart of the Hoover Candy Group for a long time. We strive to create appliances that utilise technology to make user-friendly features and the Hoover Vision Oven is the epitome of this.
“The product is an example of the strong emphasis we place on being innovative and the judges were impressed by our cutting-edge technology and functionality that enhances the user’s experience.”
The Hoover Vision Oven has just one on/off button, while the rest of the functions are managed via the 19-inch touchscreen door. It can also be controlled by the Hoover Wizard app, which allows people to control their appliance remotely but also link to the in-cavity camera to check on the progress of their cooking.
Daniel added: “To be recognised as an innovative appliance leader is a fantastic achievement and one that will keep pushing us to create outstanding products.”
