Kitchen appliance manufacturer Hoover has donated a number of appliances to ITV in order to help renovate the kitchen of a family in need.
ITV’s Love Your Home & Garden, which aired at 8pm on September 6 2017, saw a Hoover built-in oven, smart WiFi washing machine and WiFi-connected dishwasher donated and installed as part the property refurbishment.
In the programme, hosted by Alan Titchmarsh, the family of a young boy with distonic quadriplegic cerebral palsy saw their home transformed into an open-plan, airy living space with wheelchair accessibility, comfort and space for the whole family.
Hoover Candy UK freestanding division marketing director Steve Macdonald said: “The ITV team is well-known for having a really positive impact on the lives of so many families up and down the country and we’re so pleased that we were able to contribute to the programme and make a difference.
“It was incredible to see so many people gathering together to give this much-deserving family the home they needed and it was great to watch the full episode, just to see what a difference the overall renovation made to the family.”
The appliances donated to the renovation project were Hoover’s HOC79/6BX oven, a multi-function oven with a touch control LED electric programmer, the Hoover HLSI 762GT WiFi-connected 10kg dishwasher (pictured), a smart dishwasher with 16-place settings and programme Wizard, as well as the DWT L610AIW3 washing machine, also part of the Hoover Wizard collection, which also has an intelligent wash system and an energy rating of A+++.
