Haier Group has been recognised as the number one major appliances brand in the world for the seventh consecutive year by Euromonitor International, in terms of global volume share.
According to data released by Euromonitor International, the brand achieved a 9.8% retail volume market share in 2015. Haier also tops Euromonitor International rankings in the product categories of refrigeration appliances, freezers and home laundry appliances.
Haier Europe chief executive Yannick Fierling commented: “Haier’s investment in technological breakthroughs demonstrates our determination to be truly customer-focused and forward-thinking. We are constantly looking for disruptive ways to deliver new user experiences.”
Haier announced a strategic partnership agreement with General Electric on January 15, formalising the acquisition of GE Appliances. Having recently reorganised its structure in Europe with the appointment of several regional managers, Haier plans to continue its evolution from a traditional manufacturing company into a platform ‘to inspire entrepreneurs’, the company says.
