Home appliance brand Grundig has announced that it will be the Official Appliance Partner of London Food Month, a new food festival produced by London Evening Standard.
Running throughout June 2017, London Food Month will see a series of food and drink events across the capital, from high-end dinners to free community events. Grundig will provide appliances to the Night Market stalls – a bustling outdoor dining experience near Kensington gardens.
As part of London Food Month, Grundig will help promote awareness of food waste and hunger by working closely with official charity partner The Felix Project, alongside international chefs including three-Michelin-star chef Massimo Bottura. Grundig already partners with his Food for Soul project as part of the brand’s commitment to reducing food waste globally.
Beko plc growth brands brand manager Gino Grossi commented: “At Grundig, our Respect Food programme spans both product development and working with partners to use surplus food for good causes. We believe people should not only enjoy good food but respect it too – which means wasting less. Our new partnership with London Food Month provides us with an exciting opportunity to showcase the advanced cooling technologies within our refrigeration range, such as Ion Fresh, Duo Cooling and the Vitamin Care Zone, which help to keep food fresh, for longer and waste to a minimum.”
