Mobile accessories company Griffin Technology has appointed former Apple Retail director Neil Edwards as managing director for EMEIA. The move marks a new era for Griffin, aimed at growing its EMEIA business and propelling the global growth of the brand as it sets its sights on tech accessory domination at IFA next month, as well as launching a brand new UK online site, the company says.
Heading up a new EMEIA base in central Milton Keynes, Neil will be joined by Ed Griffioen, general manager of operations EMEIA, from Griffin’s global headquarters in Nashville, USA. The newly-developed UK division will support the existing sales team to expand the business and to prioritise international customers in Europe, Middle East, India & Africa markets.
Neil (pictured) spent more than eight years at Apple, taking Apple Retail from four stores in the UK to over 100 stores across eight European countries, in his role as European commercial and visual merchandising director of Apple Retail.
Ed brings more than eight years of experience working across all aspects of operations management at Griffin, and senior level experience of the inner workings of the company.
Neil commented: “It’s an exciting time to be part of Griffin’s new era. I share the same belief of putting thoughtful product design that improves customer experience at the heart of everything we do. With less than one month to go until IFA, I can’t wait to reveal our exciting line-up and build the brand in the UK and beyond.”
Griffin Technology marketing vice president Holly Hixson added: “We’re serious about growth in this area, and what better way to do it than setting up our new base to serve EMEIA and grow the brand globally.”
