Kitchen appliance manufacturer Gorenje has appointed Matt McLatchy as the regional sales manager for the South West.
Matt brings with him seven years’ experience in the appliance industry, including two years spent running his own retail appliance showroom. He has been tasked with maintaining and increasing sales in the South West region, servicing existing customers and expanding the Gorenje customer base, the company says.
Gorenje UK sales director Stuart Benson commented: “The insight Matt has from operating his own retail showroom will be a valuable asset. His insider-knowledge of the industry and, importantly, the everyday demands and needs of our customers will really help Matt in his new role.
“This unique viewpoint will provide the added value service we strive for and reinforces our commitment to providing the best experience possible for all stakeholders as part of our long-term strategy to increase our market share in the UK.”
Matt (pictured) began his sales career with distributor BCG, selling domestic appliances and kitchens to the retail sector. He said: “I am looking forward to getting out there and meeting my new customers, to develop a better understanding of how I can best serve their needs. I am also excited about using my industry experience and contact base to bring some new customers on board to help grow the business.”
