Glen Dimplex announces raft of senior management appointments

In Industry News, New Appointments On

Following his appointment as Glen Dimplex Consumer Appliances chief executive in 2016, Andy Griffiths (pictured) has sought top talent from across the industry to bolster the company’s management team.

The new senior hires, who join the business from Aga Rangemaster, Black & Decker, Britax, O2 and Whirlpool, have been brought in to help shape ‘an ambitious new vision’ for the company, GDCA says. The new look management team will spearhead a move to a more coherent structure for the business that will enable the Roberts, Morphy Richards and Glen Dimplex Home Appliances (Belling, Britannia, New World, Stoves and Lec) businesses to operate more collaboratively, the company explains.

Ian Greig joins as Glen Dimplex Consumer Appliances chief operating officer, with responsibility for manufacturing and supply chain operations across all the brands within the division. Ian was previously group head of supply chain at Britax Group Ltd.

Mark Davison joins the business in the newly-created position of Glen Dimplex Home Appliances managing director. Mark joins from Aga Rangemaster where he was sales and marketing director.

Vicky Philemon joins in the new position of Morphy Richards managing director. Vicky was previously vice president for consumer products group at Black & Decker.

Harry Kyriacou is appointed strategy and commercial excellence director, responsible for creating synergies and execution across areas such as commercial policy, digital excellence and international expansion. Harry joins the business from Whirlpool where he was dishwashing EMEA category director.

Stephen Pilkington is appointed to the position of Glen Dimplex Consumer Appliances finance director, with responsibility for driving the commercial performance of the division. Stephen joins from O2 where he was consumer division finance director.

Glen Dimplex Consumer Appliances chief executive Andy Griffiths said: “The first step in my strategy to deliver growth across all our brands is to bring in the best talent in the industry. With that senior leadership in place, our focus now is on invigorating our brands whilst continuing to transform Glen Dimplex Consumer Appliances into a modern, efficient business.”
