Appliances from Glen Dimplex Home Appliances’ brands Stoves, New World, Belling and Britannia Living have scooped Best Buy awards across multiple categories in the latest round of Which? tests, the manufacturer has announced.
Which? reviewed twenty popular freestanding cookers from a broad range of brands, ranging in price from budget buys to premium appliances. The affordable New World NW550TSIDLM 55cm gas cooker was named a Best Buy and testers declared it ‘a great oven’, while the electric Stoves Sterling 600Ei also scored highly and was commended for being ‘quick and efficient.’
Range cookers from Glen Dimplex Home Appliances: Range Cooking performed particularly well in the range category tests, with Best Buys being awarded to the Stoves Sterling 1100Ei, Belling DB4 90Ei, Stoves Sterling 900dft and Britannia Q Line RC-9SG-QL-K 90cm range cooker. In addition, the Belling Classic 100GT gas range cooker and the Stoves Richmond 1000GT gas range cooker were both named Best on Test. The Stoves Richmond 1000GT was praised for being an ‘excellent oven with a great hob and grill’, while judges noted the Belling Classic’s ‘quick-to-heat-up, accurate oven.’
In the built-in category, New World’s NW701DO built under double oven scooped the award for Best Value.
Each month Which? conducts independent tests on hundreds of products. It compares every aspect of a product’s performance, its specification against exacting criteria and uses test programs that are put together by scientists to reflect the expectations of consumers when using the product. Only the top-scoring products in the market are recognised as a Which? Best Buy.
GDHA range cooking sales director Marion Morton said: “Our newly unified range division continues to go from strength to strength. This latest round of test results demonstrates that our customers can now access Best Buy range cookers across a wide range of price points, styles and fuel types via a single sales team.”
